Research
My research looked at how digital platforms shape the way complex public issues are understood. For my Master’s, I studied InfoAmazonia and how it used maps, open data, and collaborative journalism to make sense of the Amazon. For my PhD, I studied Fogo Cruzado, a platform that maps shootings, and how its alerts and the conversations around them shaped how armed violence was discussed.
